What it is
Gaya Ji is the place where Hindu families have traditionally offered Pind Daan for their ancestors. The rite is performed at the prescribed vedis — Vishnupad, Falgu, Akshay Vat, Pretshila and others — with sankalp, tarpan and pind offering according to the vidhi followed at Gaya.
Why families do it
